Xacti DMX-C4是三洋公司推出的一款视频拍摄能力强大的相机，C4采用了一块1/2.7英寸的CCD影像传感器，总像素提高到了423万。可以拍摄2288×1712、1600×1200以及640×480三种分辨率的照片；采用了一款5.8倍光学变焦的镜头，LCD液晶显示屏1.8英寸，支持旋转取景。拍摄MPEG4动画时拍摄模式有TV-SHQ、TV-HQ、TV-S、Web-HQ、Web-S等五种分辨率模式，同样采用SD存储卡作为存储载体。
C4的外形酷似一个剃须刀，分别有深蓝、银白、红色三种颜色可供大家选择。外形尺寸为69×34×108mm，重量为159克。
机身的外壳是工程塑料，采用烤漆工艺，总体制造工艺是不错的，无论在部件组合程度还是在油漆色泽上都属上乘。C4作为C1的升级版本，在外观上面和前作饼没有太多的差异，但是细节上面还是有不少改动的。具体的改动有三个方面，LCD屏幕由原先的1.5英寸提高到1.8英寸；像素从300万提升至400万；最重要的就是改进则是在视频拍摄中加入了电子防抖功能。
C4拥有比各档次DV更好的静态照片拍摄质量以及比常规DC更为强大的稳定视频拍摄/回放能力，而相对类似三星双镜头DC/DV一体机又具备更为小巧的体积与操作便利性，因此我们不得不说三洋C4是一款相当有个性的数码影象产品。直接产生在电脑上可播放的MP4文件，本机也省去了常规DV必定会遇到的视频采集时间，使你的数码影象能够更有效率的与亲友分享。这个设计理念倒于SONY开发的DVDCAM以及JVC刚刚发布的HDCAM不谋而合。
重要的是，由于目前SD卡价格的迅速降低，使得C4改变C1市场销售成绩不佳的局面成为可能。在C1时代，即使你能忍受画面的动荡或者暗部颗粒的增加，但你恐怕也很难承受当时SD卡高昂的售价。而在今天，为C4配备一张1GB容量的SD已经并不是什么奢望，而这张卡又却却实实的能为你带来1个小时的DV拍摄时间。
